Money God holds the most private picture a family has. Here's exactly how it's protected, in plain words.
Read-only by construction
Brokerage and bank connections (SnapTrade, SimpleFIN) give read-only access. Money God has no code that places trades, moves money or pays bills — there's nothing to switch on.
Encryption with your household's own key
Sensitive data — documents, connection tokens, AI keys — is encrypted with AES-256-GCM using a key that belongs to your household alone, itself wrapped by a master key held outside the database.
Isolation in the database itself
Every household's rows are protected by PostgreSQL row-level security. Even if application code asked for another family's data, the database would refuse.
Sign-in that's hard to steal
Passwords are hashed with Argon2id. Two-step sign-in with an authenticator app is mandatory for every account, with one-time recovery codes. You can see and end your sessions.
No back door for us
There is no admin screen that shows a household's finances. Platform administrators manage accounts and service health, never your money.
Access you control
Members, viewers and invited professionals each have a role. Your household's audit log shows who joined, who was invited and what changed.
Email-in that checks the sender
Your forwarding address only accepts mail from your household's own verified addresses, and only when the sender's email provider vouches for it.
Your AI, your key
The AI CFO and analysts run on your own AI provider key, so your data goes only to the provider you chose, under your agreement with them.
Export and real deletion
Download everything your household holds at any time. Deleting your household removes its data rather than hiding it. Nightly backups are encrypted.
